Competition:  Win a week’s work experience at The Dorchester, London! 

Entering the competition
1. This competition is open to UK residents 18 years of age and over except for employees of People 1st and any company associated with the specific prize draws and their families.
2. All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Only one entry per person is permitted. If more entries are received from the same individual, only the first entry will be accepted.
4. By submitting an entry to the Competition, You give People 1st the right to use your name and county of residence for the sole purpose of identifying You as the author of your entry and/or as a winner of the Competition.
5. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied and must not otherwise be obscene, defamatory or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations. If People 1st has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches this paragraph, then People 1st may not consider it.
6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed.
7. All entries must be submitted by the advertised closing time and date.
8. Details of the winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the following address: People 1st, 2nd Floor, Armstrong House, 38 Market Square, UXBRIDGE, UB8 1LH.
9. The winners may be required to take part in publicity.

Picking the winner
10. People 1st will select a panel of independent judges who will be industry relevant.
11. When choosing the winners, the judges will be looking for the most insightful and honest response to the questions.
12. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. Winners will be formally notified by the supplied contact information with 14 days of the competition closing (extended closing date for competition is 3pm Monday 6th February 2012).
14. The judges reserve the right to not select an overall winner if none of the entries are deemed to be of high enough quality.

The prize
15. People 1st will arrange transport and accommodation for the winner for up to 5 nights. Travel may be required on a Sunday.
16. The prize may not be transferred to any other person and there is no cash alternative.
17. One entrant will win a week’s work experience at The Dorchester, London. Date to be agreed between entrant and employer. Employer has the right to decline suggested dates should it not be convenient. Work experience must be taken by 31st December 2012.
18. People 1st is responsible for promoting the competition and managing the arrangements between competition winner and employer.
19. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
20. People 1st accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by You as a result of entering the Competition or accepting any prize. People 1st further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to You or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
21. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
22. English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
